True, they’re "watching their calories," but they are also putting themselves at risk of suffering from several aspartame-associated health consequences, including insomnia, dehydration, migraines, seizures and brain tumors. To test this, scientists used chemicals that are known to precipitate seizures in animals, such as pentylenetetrazol and flurothyl.
